O Sole Mio had such good food, we went there twice! Staff was very friendly and competent. Chef/owner DJamel was very personable and attentive. This is right next to 38 Bath Street Apartments, where we stayed, so was also convenient.

stumbled across this restaurant recently with my husband and have now experienced this delightful restaurant twice. On both occasion the efficiency of the staff and the wait for our food was second to none. The food was delicious. As for the comment about the chicken liver pate being from Morrisons , I would love to know which Morrisons sold pate like that as it was absolulety beautiful. Some people are never happy, will be back this Saturday.

“Real Italian food in Scotland”

Recently found this restaurant just around the corner from the cinema. The owner welcomed us with open arms (very Italian!) and gave us a table even though we just walked in without any booking. I was immediately impressed that he did not want to give us the table next to the door as some of the other restaurants try to do. We soon had our order taken and until our food was ready we could watch the guy making pizza in the open kitchen. The staff was smiley, friendly and efficient. Soon had our food – a pizza and veal – and we both enjoyed everything. On leaving, the owner shook our hands and thanked us for being their guests, again very Italian. Really very warm service, we will be back. Thank you!

Just mooching around Sauchiehall Street and environs we stumbled on what purports to be the oldest Italian Restaurant in Glasgow. Remarkably full for a wet Sunday we enjoyed fresh fish and Veal that wonderful but seemingly hard to get underated meat. Absolutely delicious, good service, good wines.

Nice atmosphere, quick service and tasty food at a great price.
My co-worker had mussells which there were plenty of, we both had pizzas which we almost couldn’t finish because we were so full. Would eat here again

“Easily one of the most authentic Italian restaurants in Glasgow. Especially with the wood fired oven; the pizzas are great. Good value on the 5pm menu and friendly serviced as well. We will be back.”
“Good restaurant which is conveniently located near the city centre. Would recommend the mussel starter and lasagne.”
