O Sole Mio has been serving quality Italian cuisine to Glaswegians for over 50 years. Established in 1965 the restaurant has undergone something of a transformation in recent years while still retaining the high standards that have made it a landmark on the Glasgow restaurant scene. Current proprietor, Djamel Benouari, who has a wealth of experience in the catering and hospitality industry, having managed The Art House Hotel and Barca in Prince’s Square for many years, has used his superior expertise to transform O Sole Mio into one of the trendiest, modern and chic Italian restaurants in town. The newly refurbished restaurant and bar are supremely designed with modern booths and tables, fashioned in sultry, sensuous colours. The modern decor is fused well with traditional features such as the open kitchen and real wood-fired pizza oven.
